Hi Friends! I’m back with a slimline card using the new slimline dies from Lawn Fawn. With the help of a little acetate and the pull tab add-on die, these cuties seem to be flying though a beautiful rainbow sky!
To start, I ink blended the background using the following distress oxide inks (top to bottom): wilted violet, peacock feathers, twisted citron, wild honey and picked raspberry. Then the panels were cut using the stitched cloudy backdrop die. I had to cut two panels and adhere them with a piece of tape to fit the full length of the card. The panels were then cut using the small slimline die.
Next, I stamped and colored the images from really high five and yay kites. Fox colors: E55, E53, E51. Bear colors: E35, E33, E11. Kite: RV21, YR02, Y04, YG01, BG01, V01. White gel pen added for accents! I created a pull tab mechanism and then added a large strip of clear acetate to it to create a clear backing for my images. I then adhered the images and my string using glue dots and tape.
The sentiment from really high five was stamped on black cardstock using Versamark ink and white heat embossed. The panel was then adhered to a piece of white cardstock cut from the large slimline dies.
The entire card front was adhered to an 3.5 inch by 8.5 inch card base and that finishes the card!
Thank you for stopping by today! I’m going to be on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog tomorrow sharing a super fun mood-board inspired card. Be sure to check it out!
Sending crafty virtual hugs!
