Hi Friends! I’m so happy to be guest designer at Newton’s Nook this month! Today, I’m sharing this lovely spring card using the Woodland Spring stamp set and some masking paper.
To create this scene, I first stamped the image of the deer using copic friendly black ink onto a piece of white A2 cardstock. Then, I stamped the same image onto masking paper and cut the image using scissors. Next, I placed the mask on the image and also used some masking paper to mask off the bottom portion of the card. The following distress inks were used to blend the background (top to bottom): kitsch flamingo, dried marigold and spun sugar.
After removing all the masks, I added the sentiment “welcome spring” from the stamp set. Then a few flowers and leaves were added to the bottom of the card to fill in the white space. Images were colored using the following copic makers:
Deer: E0000, E51, E53, E33
Bird: BG10, BG11, B000, B0000
Flowers: YR16, Y17, Y21, RV55, R02, V06, RV52
Leaves: BG32, YG01
White gel pen used to add accents to the images.

The panel was then cut down to 5 inches by 3.75 inches and adhered to a piece of A2 Bazzill cardstock (color is butter mints). The entire front panel was then adhered to a white A2 card base.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Can’t wait to share more with you all this month!
Beautiful!
thanks so much!
