Hi friends! I’m back sharing a set of shaker cards I created using the new Pretty Pink Posh summer products. The green and blue color palette makes these perfect for a little boy’s Birthday! And these cards use no ink blending!!!
For the first card, I used the stitched stripes dies to cut several pieces of blue and green cardstock in various sizes. Next, on a plane sheet of copy paper cut to A2 size, I adhered the stripes in a diagonal pattern using liquid glue. I made sure not to fill the entire sheet of paper and left a small triangle gap at the top left which was snipped off using scissors. Then, I cut a frame using the nature essentials die. The frame was adhered to the front of the panel and on the back I glued an A2 piece of acetate. The bottom panel was stamped using a sentiment from the thoughtful greetings set with the help of my mini Misti. Next, I used foam tape to the front panel of my card and added blue and green seed beads. Next, I stamped and colored an image of a zebra from the jungle friends stamp set and adhered it to the front of my shaker. This simple yet colorful card is a great way to use the new stitched stripes dies and your cardstock scraps.
For the next card I used a similar technique to create the background stripes, except this time I left space at the top left and bottom right corners. I cut the front panel using the scallop oval dies to create the center opening. The outer stitching is from a stitched rectangle die by Lawn Fawn. Then a piece of acetate was added to the back of the panel to create a shaker window. StazOn ink in white was used to stamp the sentiment from the new simple sentiments stamp. Next, I added foam tape and filled the shaker with blue and green seed beads and mounted it to a piece of navy blue cardstock. Die cuts of the tree were added to the front of the card. I used white cardstock to create more “white space” on the card. Next, I added the cute elephant and foliage from elephant friends and jungle additions stamp and coordinating die sets.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have an amazing day!
