Happy Cinco de Mayo! I’m sharing this scene using strips to create a sunset background to set the scene for these adorable band members!
This Birthday card uses the Hola stamp and coordinating die sets by Waffle Flower. My background was created by using the Mountain scene stencil and adhering it to the background using post it tape. Next, I used a piece of scrap acetate sheet to mask the rest of the panel to create consecutive strips. I measured 1/4 inch between each color strip and moved my acetate down each time I inked the background. Catherine Pooler inks from top to bottom are: serenade, grape crush, flirty fuchsia, pucker up, it’s a girl, orange twist, catching rays, tiara and chiffon. Once the stripes were inked, I removed the mountain stencil to reveal a beautiful sunset behind the white mountains!

The bottom of the card was inked using a bit of tiara and chiffon ink and dotted with my copic markers. Images from the Hola stamp set were colored using copic markers and cut using the coordinating dies. I used thin foam squares to mount the images to the card. The entire card front was cut down to 5 inches by 3.75 inches and adhered to a white A2 card base.
Thanks again for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful day!
