Hi Friends! I’m so excited to be guest designing for Waffle Flower this week as a guest designer! My very talented and amazing crafty friend Raquel was sweet enough to ask me to participate! Thank you so much Raquel!

My card design utilizes the strips pattern in both the foreground and background. I first started by ink blending a panel of card stock using the following rainbow colors of distress inks: spun sugar, kitsch flamingo, fired brick, candied apple, ripe persimmon, carved pumpkin, mustard seed and squeezed lemonade. Each segment was masked off to create 1/2 inch thick strips. Then, I trimmed down the blended panel and adhered it to an A2 white card base.

The images from the Hello stamp and coordinating die set were stamped on Neenah 110lb white cardstock and colored using copic markers. White gel pen used to add accents. The nested domes die was used to cut white cardstock to create a frame. I used scrap cardstock in corresponding colors (to match the background) and cut them to 1/2 inch thick strips using my paper trimmer. The pieces were glued to printer paper, then the nested dome frame was adhered and the edges trimmed away using scissors. Foam tape was used to mount the nested doam piece to the card front. Then, each of the images were adhered either using foam tape or liquid glue.

The letters for the “Hello” sentiment were cut using the bold alpha die, once with black cardstock and a second time using white cardstock. The letters were adhered together slightly offset to create a shadow effect. I used a T-square ruler to line up the letters and mounted them using thin strips of foam tape and that completes the card!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out Waffle Flower challenge page and upload your images for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Waffle Flower Crafts!
